Appropriate Use of Force Course (Part B)

In order to be eligible to apply for a security guard registration through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Service (BSIS), you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
  • Complete 3-hour Powers to Arrest (Part A) and 5-hour Appropriate Use of Force (Part B) training

This 5-hour class will cover the required Appropriate Use of Force training. You may ONLY take this class if you have first taken the online Powers to Arrest (Part A). You must pass a written test before you can submit your application. The training certificate will be issued at the end of the course. In addition to the course fee you will be required to pay for your Live Scan and Application Fee. For your convenience these steps can all be completed at Hammer Head Security.

Refund Policy
By enrolling in our training courses, you agree to the terms of our Refund Policy as outlined below:
Refund Eligibility
Students/customers who cancel their enrollment at least 7 days prior to the scheduled class date are entitled to a full refund of the course fee.
Cancellations Made Less Than 7 Days Before Class
Cancellations made within 7 days of the class date are not eligible for a refund. No exceptions will be made.
No Call / No Show Policy
If a student/customer fails to attend the scheduled class without prior notice (no call / no show), no refund will be issued. However, the customer will receive a credit equal to the amount paid, which can be applied toward a future class. Credit is non-transferable and must be used within [insert time limit, e.g., 90 days] from the original class date.
How to Cancel

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to training@hammerheadprotection.com and Anil@hammerheadprotection.com. The date of the email will be used to determine eligibility for a refund.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel classes due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, students will be given the option of a full refund or transfer to another class.
